Life comes in chapters – graduation, new job, marital status changes, children, aging, retirement... Brad and I realized a while back that at its heart, we do what we do because of these chapters. Simply stated, my mission is to “provide caring professional guidance to help you find home” throughout these various chapters of your life, because as your circumstances change, so does your sense of what "home" means.
In this particular market and economy though, the process of finding that sense of home may feel overwhelming. High prices, interest rates, multiple offers, construction costs, etc. can all make it feel impossible. We often find that with a thoughtful, well-informed strategic plan and some solid work, our clients overcome the odds and achieve their goals. We’ve also found that the earlier clients reach out, the more we can help in the process.
Case studies:
- Long time friends were planning to retire in 5 years. We walked through their house, listened to their dreams and helped them clarify how best to remodel their house now to also make sense in the longterm.
- Other clients decided to “simplify” and let go of most of their belongings to move to a tiny house; another, a condo; & several others, to assisted living. We met with them to strategize and make a plan. Then over the course of weeks, months, or in some cases years, we helped them fulfill that plan and change chapters into the homes they envisioned for themselves.
- Another client thought of remodeling her smaller 2 bedroom 1 bath house in preparation for her son to reach adolescence (they needed extra space). After careful consideration of the remodeling options, she decided to move instead.
