We've been married since 2000 and business partners off and on since 2004, with over 42 years of real estate experience between us. With the move to Engel & VöIkers, we've reunited as The Carroll-Wakeman Group once again. Despite the fact that the group name makes some people think my name is "Carol Wakeman" (it's not, it's Nancy!) 😊we know this partnership enhances our ability to serve our clients.
For buyer clients, we work separately and individually. We know how much important conversation transpires in the car while touring properties with our clients during a home search. There's really no way to share the depth of that buyer/broker relationship -- and the inherent trust and understanding -- with another person, no matter how skilled they may be. That's one reason we've always thought that people miss out on value when they work with a company or team that employs separate agents for showing, writing offers, and managing the transaction through to closing. With us, you can choose who will be your primary advisor, knowing that the other of us is always in the background ready to lend a hand or an opinion along the way.
With sellers, we employ our individual expertise in complement for our clients. As a licensed architect and contractor, Brad designs and oversees strategic investments in pre-listing home preparation. He's also a nerd so likes to mine the listing data to help evaluate market trends and pricing. When the house is ready, I use my experience in marketing, communications, and relationship-building to bring the home to market and get it sold. We are both accomplished project managers in different realms, and after more than 20 years as partners, we know how to work together to employ each others' strengths.
As consultants and advisors, we each have very large networks of resources that both intersect and diverge. We can make use these spheres to help you get the answers you need, whether you're an existing homeowner, a prospective one, or someone with questions on behalf of a friend or family member.
